I am cheating a little today. I made this awhile back and itÂ’s not a card but a journal I made out of junk mail. You know those rather large postcards you get in the mail, well I have been saving them. I fold them in half and after I have a few I make them into a signature which I bind together making a journal. Then I gesso the pages and try my hand at mixed media techniques on the pages. Plus I donÂ’t worry if I mess up because itÂ’s junk mail. hehe
On this one I wanted the cover to look nice so after adding several layers of paint, I drew on the scene adding more paint and doodles and wal-la. Done. So glad it was a bird which flies and qualifies this for todayÂ’s F4A challenge.
Feels good to be posting something, just hope the challenge police donÂ’t come after me. I have been missing for awhile thanks to being busy with work and grandsons. Plus I have been doing a fare amount of mixed media stuff. Always creating something. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Sis! :0)

First of all, great idea to use the junk mail! Now why didn't I think of that? This gives a new meaning to "recycle"! Next, love your drawing! Wish I could be so creative and talented! The colors are fabulous! In want of a better word.... brilliant!! Thanks for sharing and inspiring me!
