When DH saw this he said "that must have been hard to photograph". Indeed it was - so you can just believe me that, since it's embossed, the sentiment (There's nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly) is easier to read in real life.
To go with the idea behind the sentiment, I wanted to create a dark background and a vivid butterfly. So, I embossed the butterfly with clear EP on watercolour paper, wet it lightly with a brush and then sprinkled some Brushos over. When it was dry, I masked it off and sponged in dark colours for the background, and then stamped the foliage in Versafine Smokey Grey. I added the sentiment and embossed it with clear EP. The whole panel is popped up on foam onto a base which I had edged with gilding flakes.

Lucky, lucky me to be able to behold this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G card every day! It is wonderful and I LOVE it! I am very interested in Brushos. I first saw them on Karen Dunbrook's cards. I watched a couple of videos on how to use them and they look very cool! Dick Blick, here I come??? Haha!
