Karen, thank you for the Color Challenge dessert option for this week! I've always admired shabby chic in others' cards, but I don't think I've ever attempted it before. So this card was really stretching my horizons, and I must say I am pleased with the result. This week's colors are Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi and Sahara Sand.
I tried to combine some techniques I've seen on other cards: I crumpled up the "post card," then sponged the edges and the fold lines, and I used the blade of a scissors to distress the Sahara Sand layer.
I'm still tickled with having figured out how to get my Silhouette Portrait to fussy cut for me, and that's how the flower, Eiffel Tower and "Amour" were cut out so perfectly. I colored the flower with Copic markers and then hit it with a Wink of Stella brush.
Thanks for stopping by and please play along with us this week!

So pretty and so romantic, Barbara! I'm w/ you...I don't often attempt shabby chic...it just seems wrong to tear up a perfectly good piece of paper, lol.
