This is for Judy's great technique challenge - stamped acrylic block background.
I have stamped this girl many times and tried several backgrounds, so far nothing really worked...until now. Thanks to Judy, I am thrilled to bits and can't wait to use the same technique for all my Unity girls backgrounds.
I smacked Iced Spruce distress ink onto an acrylic block, squirted water on it and then banged it a couple of times on the cardstock. I got a bit carried away with the water so I picked up a baby wipe and gently dabbed the cardstock...the babywipe had some red ink on it and a tiny hint of red can be seen in the background.
After everything was nice and dry, I used MISTI stamping tool to stamp the girl. Before adhereing to the card, I lightly inked around the edge. The sentiment was partially stamped on the image background to tie everything in together.
Thank you for looking. Wishing everyone a happy week.

LOVE how your bkgrd turned out! I have several cards in my gallery using this technique. Since I like bkgrds, too, it's an easy, fav way to stamp it. You can also ink it up, "kiss" it w/another stamp and then stamp your paper. Try it and let me know what you think. One of my fav distress colors is the iced spruce. When I first used it, I wasn't expecting it to be such a great color BUT it sure is. Neat Unity girl stamp and sentiment, too. I really like the typewriter style font. You have quite a great collection of stamps, Susie. GLAD you are lovin your MISTI. Did you get the blog link I sent to Maureen's blog which has more videos? Hope so.

Love this card - the background looks exactly like swirling, misty rain which is so perfect with the image. The splash of red on the handbag is just awesome.

Ms. Susie, you have made many beautiful cards, but this is my favorite. Perfection! I would frame and hang this as an art piece. Everything is in balance and the sentiment sings to me. Fav'd Loving that Misti...right? The best tool I've purchased in a long time.

You are amazing, girlfriend. Only you could make a totally knock out card with only greys and a little red. The way you stamped the sentiment is perfect. You could start your own line of designer cards. Pinned and faved.
