Lydia's challenge for this last HYCCT14 event was to be inspired by our favorite childhood book. I was more than "inspired", I just put it out there. I cannot count how many times this book was read to me before I could read it myself....a chapter a night at bedtime. E. B. White went on to write another classic,"Charlotte's Web". (which I loved too, but made me cry) As a young child I enjoyed Stuart's adventures and his paper clip ice skates. Now I realize he showed the attributes of coping, showing persistence and having hope which could apply to many, many cancer patients and survivors. I still have my original book which was gifted to me by a friend of my Mother's.
The layout for my card came from the IC site for today, Schweitzer Linens. This is the BED LINEN SET that inspired me.

I Loved reading your story, Sallie! I cried over Charlotte's Web also, seeing it for the first time as an adult! What an awesome image you have found and placed it so perfectly! I love your framing~

Sweet card that brings back sweet memories for me too Sallie! I read it myself as a girl and remember reading it to my DS when he had the chicken pox. Lovely framing and colors to highlight Stuart!
