This is my last card for the last challenge of HYCCT 2014! What a fabulous month of inspiration it's been!
Lydia's fun HYCCT1431C challenge to us: "be inspired by your favorite children's book!" When I read the challenge at first I was thinking along the lines of what stamps I have to go with a favorite children's book. I still might make the first thing that popped in my head but my ALL time favorite series was "Little House on the Prairie". I devoured those books and read them over and over. Imagine my sadness when my own little girl had no desire to read them!
I chose this Phylliss Harris image because this little girl is clearly standing in a grassy field being blown by the wind. I grew up in Kansas and I can tell you, the wind BLOWS on the prairies! One of my favorite memories is of lying on the grass and watching the clouds race across the sky, blown by the wind!

What a wonderful pairing...that amazing sentiment and an image I just love every time I see it, and every one always brings something new to the table with her. Genius idea to paper piece her dress to match your back ground paper. Little House on the Prairie and Nancy Drew both kept me entertained for hours! Love your wonderfully crafted card....

I'm picturing Laura Ingalls standing in a field and just letting the wind take over while she enjoys the breeze! I love your pretty flowery paper and the way your brought it into the image, Angie! Lovely sentiment....wonderful card~

Oh, Angie, this is absolutely stunning! I love the feeling of wind blowing you've achieved, and I agree - just love the paper-pieced dress!! I agree with your about "Little House On the Prairie" as being one of my favorites, and I also loved the television series! I have this set and have pinned this (and really need to pull it out and use it). Thanks always for your inspiration (and friendship), precious friend! Hugs!
