Last Tuesday, the Teapotters made cards for Helen who is celebrating her 100th birthday! She loves flowers so I brought her roses. Wishing her a very happy birthday and many more years of good health, happiness and love!
I used Wednesday's nice SC510 sketch. I chose the summer color palette from Tuesday's CC500 (pear pizzaz, blushing bride, rich razzleberry, subbed kiwi for mossy meadow.) I added two yellows for her hair. My neutrals are black, gray and white.
The card base was stamped with the MFT birthday words bkgrd stamp. At least a dz yrs ago, b4 I had emb folders, at Joann's, I a bought a couple 12x12 sheets of the pre-embossed swirl pattern cardstock. I think they were DCWV. I happened to have a scrap in my "solid colors" box and thought it would be nice w/the roses as it's kind of "leafy" looking. The main panel is an MFT PI stamp. I used a sponge to add the light pink. I have tried repeatedly to color the faces, arms, legs, etc. of some of my stamps, particularly all the cute PIs and others to no avail. I use my watercolor markers and/or pencils and a SU blending pen or water color brush but the final color ends up too light, too dark, spotty-looking and not smooth. Go figure! Any suggestions or links to videos that I haven't watched? Heehee!
Thanks for looking!

Love the way you mixed up the embossing and colored papers for the BG, Gabby - this little girl is going to make Helen smile, for sure - hugs!
