Wow! 500 Sketches!! At least we only had to pick from the last 100, or I'd still be looking. For this card, I chose SC481. I did turn the oval the other way to fit my image.
I stamped the Anchor scene, colored it w/ Copics then did a bit of my out of the box technique on the right side using a classic oval die. I kept the colors a little toned down to coordinate w/ the background paper I wanted to use. The larger black oval & wide black panel were done w/ the embossing folder stamping/TLC482 technique. I sprayed one side of an embossing folder w/ sparkly silver & gold sprays, then pressed a piece of black card stock inside. There is no texture since I didnÂ’t emboss itÂ…just sparkle!
On the teal woodgrain dp, I stamped the little anchor & compass rose w/ teal ink & the fishing net bg on the left side w/ gold ink. The two different braided ropes w/ shells were something IÂ’ve had in stash for quite a while. The smaller one was glued around the oval & the larger one tied in a bow and added.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Another amazing card, Julie. Your "out of the box" technique always adds so much to your cards. Great choice of colors and I love all the little extra details. I can almost smell the sea air.
