WooHoo itÂ’s Teapot Tuesday and Sheri gave a fun story this week about Farmer Black and the community food bank. Our job is to bring tractors, trucks or even wagons to help get the veggies to town. Our job is also to bring some cheer to Mr. Black, he is the 91 year old dad of our fellow teapotter Yabadodo aka Faith.
The challenge went live this week so I didnÂ’t have extra time on my side to paper piece or do a stair step, in hindsight it was a good thing as it made me water colour with distress inks and finger paint the sky and fields.
The tractor is a Scrapping Memories digi stamp (there were little people sitting in the cart but I chopped them out). Little Faith started out life as a Sassy Cheryl digi image. She is rather huge compared to the tractor – must be the fresh country air and all those veggies. Both images were coloured using an aquabrush and Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I used Copics on little Faiths face, arms and legs only.
The sky, clouds and field were finger painted. When everything was dry I went berserk with the aquapen, distress inks and Prisma coloured pencils. I mounted the images using 3D tape then did a doodled border using a white Sharpie paint pen.
Reading the story about the food bank reminded me of the time I moved to the country and joined a local country womenÂ’s association. I was the only member asked NOT to bake cakesÂ…funny how these things stick in your memory.
Have a great week everyone.

Your card is TOTALLY FAB, Susie! LOVE how you've colored and embellished the terrific digi images. If you aren't on the Sassy Cheryl DT, you FOR SURE should be! I can't image anyone using her digis any better than you do! Every card you make with them has so many wonderful details and they're all just so darn cute, we all can't compliment you enough!
