When I saw the colors today I knew I wanted to make a poppy card. I water colored the flowers. I used an old Mark's Finest Papers set called Poppies Poppies Poppies. They really started red but as I painted and blended they became a lighter shade. I did paper tole technique on the flowers. To make them have dimension I used a 1/2 circle punch and punched out 8 circles for each flower. I glued the circles 4 at a time behind the pieces to give them dimension. I wrapped the top panel with twine, added brads and a ribbon. The sentiment is from a new MFP set called Friends.

Okay, definitely my new favorite card of yours! LOVE the blues and your poppies literally just pop off the page! Such beautiful paper you chose to place your flowers on. Stunning with that butterfly..wow and the twine and ribbon. Gorgeous.

MariLynn, so happy to see this chosen as best CC for the week! This is an outstanding example of the colors, so much depth (love that grandmother clock in the bg) and all the dimension!
Congratulations
