As luck would have it I already had a gelli print bg made with 2 of today's colors . I cut the cityscape to accommodate the smaller side of the card and popped up the rest in front. The woman image is a photo stamp, one from a photo booth image and she's from the 30's or 40's. This reminds me of my mom who went to college late 30's and met my dad then. They wore a lot of hats then as the lady is in the photo. That and the sentiment reminds me of Big Band music which was so popular then and my parents were HUGE fans! Mom would tell me stories of going to see a favorite band and she'd rush up to the front right by the stage..brings back memories of me going to see CSN&Y or the Allman Brothers. One thing I know..I got a love of music from my parents and Big Band is still a fav for me as well as a lot of other genres. Thanks for looking!

Love this! Terrific layout. Great gelli BG, and the way you cut out and popped up part of the skyline is a great idea. Which I may steal because I have that die. But if I do I will give you a shout-out.;-)!

How fab that bg looks with the city (both flat and popped) in front of it! I love the way you used the colors, adding the polaroid image and glasses. Great collage card, as usual, Polly!

Oh, this vivid beauty has my heart singing, Polly! Fabulous mixed media card and I loved reading the 'backstory'! For me it was Leon Russell, Lena Horn, and other jazz greats!

Glad I could oblige, Polly. : ) Your Gelli bg is FAB and I love how you used it to evoke a trendy Deco feeling with the buildings and the vintage image of a 30's - 40's lady. Your cards are always so creative and tell a story within themselves.
