I stamped the bottom panel with a background stamp (don't know whose it is), then I gold embossed it. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug using a Spellbinders embossing folder. Then I sponged over the whole thing with Walnut distress ink. The gold embossing resisted the ink and of course the ink didn't go into the depressed part of the embossing, so I wound up with a white walnut and gold background. This is one of my favourite techniques.

This card has such wonderful texture. OMG, I have that congratulations stamp, too. It was one of my early purchases when I first started stamping, 30+ years ago! How nice to see it used and so beautifully!

That background has such a lacy look to it! I love it! I would have never thought to use all those techniques together to create one. Thanks for the information too. Gorgeous card!
