I choose to use cold colors (blue) for the base of my card.
I cut out a triangle on the front of my card, paper pierced the pattern for my cross stitching, folded the cut out triangle over to the left corner and tucked it under the two slits.
I added a piece of white paper on the left inner side for some contrast.
Then I added the image from a decoupage sheet and punched out the ice crystals .

Monique, these snow people are delightful and I would say their smiles are warm, but your colours are cool, so you can get away with it I love the cross stitches too!
