This is for Linda's fun WT challenge today ~ to use script on our cards. I used Wednesday's sketch for it - even if it did take me two goes. I botched the stitching first time round, so decided to to without it on take 2!
A2 cream base.
I used an old Italian law book and English and Russian novels for my background. If you look closely you can see that the bottom strip of green is Russian and the one above it is English. Take one seemed to show more of a difference in the quality of the paper, somehow - so to make the different panels more distinct I used two colours of green to stamp on the bottom layer (IO Greenery) and one on the middle layer. Top section stamped with Kaleidoscope in Tumbled Glass. I stamped the Newsprint Bird on cream card with black, scored a line for him to stand on and then stamped Wonderfully Worn in Stormy Sky. (I'd used Wrinkle Free distress first time round, but thought I'd try a different way of adding distressing this time.
I thought I needed a pop of colour for contrast so I sponged the edges of the base layer and the image panel with Cranberry. Little banners are cream card stamped with the same background stamps, embossed with Herringbone and then with little music notes added.
I finished it off with a Verve sentiment and some pearls.
The Stamping on Book Print link that Linda shares in the challenge thread is so inspiring, I hope to be back with another card if time permits. But I really wanted to use my little bird, and I thought print on print might be a bit eye-boggling.
