Lydia's MIX41 challenge today is no paper allowed (apart from the card base) - and we must add layers with something. I love this sort of challenge - I remember one once when we weren't allowed use any glue or tape as an adhesive, so any sticking had to be done by non-conventional means and I had such fun I made 3 cards for that one.
Anyway, for this one I used Bazzill's Card Shoppe for a good solid base. Sponged on some acrylic structure paste through a stencil (you can see if you look, I hope) and sprinkled some microbeads into it before it set. When it was dry, I used drywall mesh tape to sponge a strip of green.
The butterfly is cut from unfused Fantasy Film for the body, and foil tape for the outline (thus fitting today's F4A194 Foiled Again challenge).
The leaf is cut from cork, and the green square behind it is some fused fantasy film, a rejected attempt a while back at faux carnival glass, but I knew I could use it for something. I added sequins and a sentiment to finish it off.
