I decided to take a break today from making fall cards, although since it's only October, I'm sure there are quite a few more in my future The color challenge is just perfect for a cowboy card, Cajun Craze is the perfect color for horses (and squirrels!), anywho, I didn't have Soft Suede, so I pulled out the old Close to Cocoa, although the cowboy's jacket is colored in SS. My cowboy needed an embossed leather bg (ok, that was me that needed it!) andI added a bit of wood plank made with the MFT Western Backgrounds set. For dessert I added a lasso instead of a bow and a couple pieces of retired SU hardware.

Wonderful card!! I have to make a western themed card this weekend and would have really loved knowing the name of the embossing folder you used. I've been wondering if I have an EF that will suit the purpose and don't know if I have the one you used in my big EF stash, but it is the perfect look of tooled leather for the western card! If I don't find that I have this particular EF I know I'll be on a mission until I find out which one it is and if it's still available. I have a ton of western and horse stamps so I really "need" it! LOL!
Whoo Hoo! After I commented above, I thought it just might be the "Anna Griffin "Poppy" EF so I looked it up and it is!! And even better, I own that EF so I'm a happy camper at the moment. Now if my good luck will just continue so I can get a western card made that I am happy with. It is for my husband to send to a friend of his who is a real rodeo rider who is having surgery, so it really has to be a good card! And I don't do my best work under pressure! Fingers crossed that the mojo fairy visits me today.
