This is my last week as guest designer for the Color Challenge here on SCS. Great color combo this week - Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar and the dessert is to make your own designer paperÂ…does using a background stamp count, hope so because I totally forgot about dessert until way after my card was doneÂ…oh well, it's optional but I do like the extra challenge!
IÂ’ve had a great time designing with some talented ladies this month, so to all the regular hostessesÂ…thank you so much for asking me!
The flowers and leaves are cut with Die-namics Upsy Daisy die set which includes three sizes. I found the set at MarkerPop.
They are colored with Copic markers: large and medium flower petals – R27,24,22,21, small petals – C0,00 and blender, all flower centers – E35,33,31.
The smaller flowers are attached with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue and the larger flowers are popped up with 3L Scrapbook Adhesive foam squares.
The bottom edge of the designer paper was cut and embossed with Spellbinder Frameabilities – Polka Dot Frame.
Scor-Pal was used to emboss the lines on the card front, insert and envelope.
To create the envelope embossing I cut two flowers from thick cardstock, glued together and placed inside the envelope with a piece of acetate between the flower and envelope back and run it through the Cuttlebug. The acetate is to avoid embossing those double layer lines created when gluing the envelope together.
Spellbinder pearls were attached with Paper Glaze. You can see a better photo of it on my blog post here.
This is so pretty!!! I love how the card, inside of card, and envelope all match! Of course, your design, shading on your flowers, and delicate pearls are all beautiful too! tfs
Roxie, this is one meal that dessert wasn't needed. Such a fabulous card. All I can say is it's just stunning.
