This week the teaparty is for Trent Baker. He is a retired Chief Petty Officer from the US Navy and the brother of TMD (Tina). He served for 23 years! Unfortunately, shortly after he retired, he found out he has cancer. So lets rally and send some teapotter LOVE!!! His birthday is in August, so I thought I would make him a birthday card
The image is a digi from juxtapost. It was really a Commander (officer), but with me also being retired Navy, I had to make sure I sent Trent a CHIEF. The background was done my DandI63 (Irene), she was so kind to make a few for me! I just LOVE how that flag looks and just cannot even begin to thank her enough! The letters for Trent are Thickers (foam), the sparkly red are chipboard Thickers and the Happy Birthday stickers are Doodles. I colored the image with Copic makers and used some dimensionals.
I do wish Trent all the best! Hope YOU will wish him well too!!!
I wasn't sure if he was a SEAL or if that was just in the story....so if someone can let me know for sure, I would appreciate it!

I never knew you were a Navy gal, Kathleen. You obviously knew just how to make the perfect card for Trent, then. The background does look amazing, a perfect setting for your chief!!

I love this card.
He wasn't a Navy seal, but I know he had top security and was not able to talk about things he had to do. He was in the electrical for aircrafts. Something he dreamed about since he was young.
Thank you so much for making him a b-day card!! I'm sure it will mean that much more coming from another retired Navy personnel
