Hello ladies, here is my card for the California Poppies. I got this "Thermo" image of Cali from a free site on-line (I think National Geographic) and printed it to card stock.
Colored and cut out my Penny Black Poppies and then printed California on my computer and die cut it with a Spellbinders die.
I have to say that a field of Poppies intermingled with purple Lupine (something like a TX blue Bonnet), is the most beautiful site! It is typical where I live in the Sierra during the spring.

That's so cool the way you've added the thermal map, the colours in it make a great setting for the poppy. I love California poppies - a field of them must be a sight to see.

This is beautiful Robin! I am from California and remember those poppies growing up ... I haven't been back for a lot of years (23 yrs). Your state on the card is amazing ... beautiful and well done card!!

I'm a SoCal girl and I think this card is AMAZING! I love the colors and the layout. My favorite thing about it is that it represents CALIFORNIA, my home state. Thank you for the beautiful California card!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, what you did here!!! Awesome card for your state flower!! Love how you put CA in the background. I love poppies too!!! Wish they were MY state flower! I think I don't like carnations because they remind me of funerals! Or I just think roses and gerber daisies are prettier!!

Your Poppies (my favorites!) look just stunning with the state map in the background and your coloring is lovely. I like your idea to print out the state name.
