Today we celebrate the 8th Anniversary of the Ways to Use It Challenge and Linda/Holstein challenged us to make a card in the color purple family, and you can use any other items from below on our cards.
Flower - Lilac
Gemstone - Tanzania (light purple or blue color stone)
Traditional gifts - bronze or pottery
Modern gifts - linen or lace
I knew that I had some purple vellum scraps and thought I could make a lilac using the MS Hydrangea punch. I cut a triangle shaped piece and ran it through the Xyron twice so that it was sticky on both side. Then I layered my curled flowers onto this piece. I ran my base plain vellum through the Big Shot in the Rebecca ef. I curled my lilac a bit and stuck it onto the base. I had kept some green bean vines from my garden and used a piece of that with a mini glue dot to make my stem. I tied a crocheted trim (my nod to lace) around this stem. I stamped my sentiment by inking first in Versamark then Wisteria Wonder and embossing in clear. I layered my tag over another cut in two. I added some gems to my flower centers and as an accent on my sentiment piece. I cut a base of Perfect Plum and punched the corners of my vellum piece to attache it with "bronze" brads.
