TodayÂ’s TLC is to use circles and managed to pull it off with the flowers and their centers plus the #3 circle panel and border and if you want to get real technical you can count the OÂ’s and the brads!
I used an Andrea Zuill image which is free for personal use only and not to be sold for profit. You can find it for download here at the BadbirdÂ’s blog.
I used both Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils for coloring, always use the markers first due to the wax on Prismacolor pencils being harmful to the Copic markers.
Copics: Y15,18,19, YR04,07,09
Prismacolors: 992, 905,1103
Tools used:
Spellbinder Nestabilities were used to cut the ovals.
EK Success punches for cutting the circles.
Martha Stewart Branch punch.
Fiskars border punch for cutting the flowers.
Cuttlebug Tiny Tags die for cutting the flower centers.
Sizzix die for cutting the letters.
The owl was cut out and is popped up with foam tape and the attached to the branch punch with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue which also holds the flowers in place.
The shading around the owl was created with Stampin Up pastels, I picked up the block and rubbed it on the cardstock then blended with a paper towel.
The number 3 was traced from a plastic stencil using a Copic fine tip marker, colored with the same Copic oranges used on the owl and shaded with B000, 0000.
Diamond Stickles was added to the dots on the turquoise border of the image.
Since the card will be hand delivered I decorated the envelope with the same flowers and kept the number used at 3 to honor the recipients birthday age.
Paper: Bazzill white textured, Beckett Expressions for image, Die Cuts with a View sparkle solid and stripe, Remember When black textured
This same owl was also used on the thank you cards which can see here at SCS.
