This week's color challenge colors are bright and made me think of flowers. I decided to make a lei of punched flowers and leaves. My DD's college roommate was from Hawaii and her parents brought her leis a few times. I thought it would be fun to put one on a card for her as she is going to help me take some pictures of my kids' swim team next week.
I punched the flowers in Daffodil Delight and Whisper White with the MS Hydrangea punch. The leaves are in Lucky Limeade with the MS leaf punch. I pierced them then used a needle and white thread to string them. I embossed my Island Indigo card with the Tulip Frame ef. I used a tiny brad to attach the lei and some glue dots to help it keep the shape I wanted. I die cut my "button" and layered 3 of them together. I used Versamark and clear ep to give it even more of a button feel. I used Island Indigo Baker's Twine for the bow and die cut Little Leaves behind it. I used a Not Quite Navy marker (don't have an Indigo) to ink up my sentiment which is part of a large collage stamp. You can see that it wasn't quite clean as some of the previous stamping colors are faint in the bg. I notched the end and sponged on a bit of Indigo and my Hawaiian card was complete.

What a neat idea Gail. I'm sure your DD's roommate will love it. Punching all those tiny flowers and arranging them would have driven me over the edge!!!!!!!!!!!!!
