This is for QFTD130 and we are honoring our dear Loll Thompson. Congratulations, Loll! This is such a deserving honor.
OK....I don't of anyone on the site that can do clean and simple any more beautifully than Loll. I was inspired by so many of her crisp white cards with interesting images and die cuts that burst off the lovely white background. I could hardly choose one card as inspiration but finally settled on Loll's Happy Birthday, Frances card found here: Happy Birthday, Frances by Loll Thompson at Splitcoaststampers
I loved the white frame and the gorgeous white vines and flowers against the wonderful blue background. I kept the same basic circle frame layout and foliage theme. I wanted to create a totally white background like Loll does so beautifully and let my green pine and red multi loop bow be the main star. I loved the double matted framed circle because it added dimension and interest without taking away from central focus of ribbon and pine. ps.....I think I have found my new best friend for making my holiday cards. I love this pine branch die.
Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration, Loll! I can't tell you how long I looked last night and this afternoon to settle on just one of your lovely art work.
