Gosh, it feels like too long since I had time to play along in the IC challenge. Anne gave us a fantabulous site this morning; quite aside from the amount I could spend on weather stations if money were no object, I could have spent a small fortune just in the Wall Art section. So of course I found loads of inspiration. But since I am sadly short of my August quota of Christmas cards, I took the Cardinals and Holly Stained Glass as my inspiration.
I used the Stained Glass tutorial, and was delighted to find out how well my Northwoods stamp stamped on vellum. I used Marvy markers to colour the back, and then just added a frame of brown Bazzill stamped with a pine bough backgrounder, and a simple sentiment. The frame is popped up on foam tape. I found the technique worked wonderfully for this particular stamp, because I didn't feel I had to colour in all the background .
Finished size 5 x 5 1/2 inches.
