My son is turning 18 in a couple days. He is into Anime cartoons so I wanted to make him a cute little girl for his b-day.
I found this pic. on google and then just drew and water colored it and cut it out.
That was where i stopped with ideas..lol. I wanted to honour our sweet queen this week ...CINDY or..YLM..so went to look in her gallery. So many neat choices, but when I sw this little guy It gave me ideas. and same kind of color scheme....Happy Birthday Doug! by YLM at Splitcoaststampers. I spent a couple hours trying to find a good dp for the bg and decided on making the bg kind of like a cafe and used the cherries in the bg to match his black forrest cake. So then the bottom had to be like the cafe floors, with the b & w checks. So cut little squares out and glued them on. Did have her centered but then wasnt sure where to put the happy birthday, then thought I would keep it in a cafe theme and make a little cafe sign for it and sneaked her over a bit.
Then just added the 3 red pearls on each side, like our little penguin guy. I believe guys like things more simple, on a hole...lol
And on the inside I think I'll put like " BIG BOY "
Its kind of girly so hope he will still like it, I have trouble with dps on cards and even more with guy cards, but I thought a young man might not mind a cute young girl bringing him some yummy chocolate black forrest cake. Him and I made one of them the other day together so he could learn how and to give it to a fellow co-worker, so thats why this one is black forrest...yum...:0)
It is also for todays free for all challenge to bring some color. Black and white is my base...didnt start that way but...lol...but then added some golds and reds and blues and she has sweet green eyes so that will bring some fun color into the gallery...Thanks for visiting...:0)..."Our babies grow up too fast (sniff-sniff)...:0)

Love how you tailored your card to fit your son's interests and added in about the Black Forest Cake too - I am sure he will get a kick out of how you incorporated all this into his BD card - ESPECIALLY since your DREW the image - WOW, you just knocked my socks off with that!! You better get a huge hug from your son for all the work you put into the making of his card!!

Lil Sistah, how can you have an 18 yr old, eh? Lol! What a wonderful case! Your artistry is amazing. I love how you can draw anything. And you know I am lovin' the black framing. Totally eye-popping creation! Lymi
