Wow....is the new "Water Stamping Technique" featured on the SCS home page with the tutorial so beautifully done by "texasgrammy" ever fun.
I tried 3 different backgrounds and liked this one the best using Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo for the sponged background and water stamped with the SU retired "Flannel Plaid" background stamp. Because it was so gorgeous I kept my card CAS, so not to cover up too much of the background.
This card also is for the WT387 Something Old (background stamp), New (new technique) and Borrowed (For the Birds stamp set). I did not do the blue...
Also qualifies for todays F4A129 Ombre, Mon Amie!...light to dark shading, which I did on my birdies.
I hope you enjoy this bright colorful card as much as I enjoyed making and sharing it with my stamping friends.
A HUGE thanks to you Bev for a fabulous technique and very, very helpful tutorial.

The Flannel Plaid Stamp is one of my all-time favorite background stamps .... and look how you've used it!! I'm also loving the water stamping technique ... you've inspired me to use that same background stamp on my next attempt. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card!

Wonderful card, Nancy! Beautiful job with the background and I like how you didn't cover too much of it up.
I love that bird image and the framing backwards.
