I am so excited to be the guest designer for the CAS challenge which this week is a challenge to use twine. I went with a natural twine and that pushed me in the neutral direction. I saw a card the other week by Vicki B that inspired the look of my image panel http://itsastampthing-vicki.blogspot...challenge.html. I took a piece of Very vanilla cardstock and created my background by stamping the script from French Foliage in stamped off Early Espresso. I stamped some spatter in Early Espresso then stamped the flower in Versafine Onyx. I colored with markers: Poppy Parade, Real Red, and Always Artichoke. I added some black gel pen highlights to the flower centers. I then sponged on More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Riding Hood Red. I tore the edges and made a faux burnt edge with Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso. I adhered this to a Crumb Cake panel and added my hardware store twine with a knot. This went onto a Crumb Cake base with the edges sponged and my greeting stamped in Early Espresso.

That's just gorgeous. I love the simplicity and how your faux burned edge technique and background stamp really bring you in. Into my favorites. Thanks for sharing.
