My TLC382 challenge to make a "dryer sheet" flower. This ended up an all day creation and definitely a challenge...the good news. I love the results and now know what NOT to do !
First of all...do not use punches. Either cut out by hand or use dies. Gets caught in the punches, etc. I ended up folding 2 dryer sheets together, traced the lg and sm SU scallop circle that I had punched out and then cutting out with my papersnips. Worked fine.
I brayered my ink onto my cut scallop shapes. Worked great. Used Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals as they are really juicy new SU ink pads.
Then I added the SU Dazzling Detail (like stickles) and let dry completely.
I wanted a lot of ruffle on my flower, so did not stack the layers, but folded in 1/4", but...had a heck of time gluing onto flat layer of finished dryer sheet until I attached that layer to a scallop circle of CS. I might try sticky strip next time.
Discovered later...because of the glitter glue the flower layers ruffled enough. Live and learn.
I poked a hole into the middle of the layers with my paper piercer and added the rhinestone brad.
Other issue...I do not like the smell, so may try tissue paper or coffee filters or look for unscented dryer sheets. Is there such a thing?
I loved the pretty finished flower and kept the card design simple. I had my brayer out so made the colored layer on my card using Raspberry R.
Enjoy and thanks for a great challenge :-)
