Because it is Memorial Day, I wanted to make a card honoring those who gave their lives for our freedoms. It doesn't matter what country you are from, there were men and women who gave their lives in service for their country.
I looked thru the lovely gallery of Feature Stamper SusanBri and saw so many beautiful nature cards and amazing CAS cards. But I decided to use this wonderful Christmas card for my inspiration:
Judy gave us distressed edges for our technique learning challenge this week. I have never used a mechanical tool for distressing, but have wondered if they are easier to use than the way I distress my edges. I just use my fingernail and chalks or inks along the edges.
I hope that you are all enjoying a lovely Memorial Day and just take a short moment to remember those who gave all today. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Thanks so much Kathleen, for your kind words about my gallery and for honouring me as Featured Stamper with a CASE of one of my cards. I love your Memorial Day version of my Christmas card - keeping the bird theme and layout, but making it uniquely yours!
