I decided to make a card using a photo I took of a Monarch that had just opened in my garden -- she was sunning herself to get her wings dry. I think these butterflies are just stunning. My card will be flying it's way over to Joan.
A couple of people have asked about the photo -- our camera has a hand shake thing on it so if you move a little it corrects it. It also has a really up close option to that you can take re close ups. She had not been out long so she wasn't about to fly away. I took heaps of her. We had over 20 butterflies hatch in our garden over Summer. It was wonderful. We keep a close eye on them all.

Holy cow girl! You even got the fuzzies on her head! Tee hee! Wow, you are quite the photographer and what a great idear to grab the camera quick! Did you know a butterfly challenge was coming up or what! Ha! What a very nice real life butterfly for Joan....she will be so tickled and from New Zealand to boot! Thank you so much Kim for making this specially for Joan! You rock!
