Okay, this is such an AWESOME window diecut from ODBD - it includes the window framing, the scalloped valance and curtains for each side of the window. I used the valance, but not the curtains on this one as it would cover up the display dresses. I don't design for ODBD, but thought I'd put in a plug for them by linking you to where you can purchase this diecut - it's toward the bottom of the link:
It's not very often I get a vision in my head about the card I'm going to make. They usually take on a life of their own, but I was determined to make a window at a boutique showcasing elegant dresses. I was actually going to go much more elegant or vintage, like evening attire, but couldn't resist the more cheerful flower look.
I knew when I saw this card by Judy with a window scene, that it was the one to pick. I obviously turned her beautiful scene into a boutique and used a different window diecut. Here is Judy's beautiful card:
I paper pieced the dresses in coordinating colors from the SU DSP, Springtime Vintage. I popped up the paper pieced dresses on dimensionals, added bling and a gold leaf pen on the bottom of the stand and on the little tassles beneath the dresses. I also popped up the window frame on dimensionals.
I used the SU B/G stamp, Teahouse, which I really love b/c it's so delicate and not overpowering. It's behind the dresses in the window frame. The main panel behind that was also stamped with the B/G stamp and embossed with the Victoria EF.
I added a sentiment using 2 fancy tags and popped it up on dimensionals. I punched 3 bows from the coordinating dsp. I used the same dsp for the diecut valance above the dresses. Topped off the whole window with several dimensional layers of a flower punch sent to me by Marie (momof5boys) and blinged it up. Thanks Marie.
Well, that about does it. Come visit me at my boutique when you can. I may have some different dress choices coming soon to display at my window. The Boutique is called "Boutique A La Fruitcake"! Inside Joke!
Thanks for taking a look and my disorganized novel as to what I did here. I need to get to bed.

I was just a-strollin' through your gallery, Miss Pamzi, and found this card that grabbed me by the collar! Don't know if I commented on it before (there are three pages of comments here!), but if so, I'll say it again: WOW! LOOVE all the amazing details you gave to this. One of my fave cards of yours.
