When I saw today's Ways to Use It challenge was to use stickers, I thought I'd have to skip it since I wasn't aware of owning any and went on to make my wedding card. Then I remembered these definition sentiments and checked them out, and they are stickers. I stuck mine onto a piece of cardstock so that I could pop it up on an embossed heart, which is cut free hand. If you find that tricky you can google a heart (or any object) in images, and use the outline for a template. Last year I did wedding invitations for our neighbor and she wanted lace covered, and this is one of the card bases that was left over. What a job, each card had lace stretched over it and glued on the inside, so they had to have a liner glued in to cover up the edges. I added some ribbon which was wrapped around a Christmas present and a vintage button - got a jar of them in the St. Georges Market in Belfast's city center.

Bridget this is over the top stunning! I cannot imagine making more than one of these - it must have taken a very long time! I love that ribbon treatment on the embossed heart.

I feel as if I've been following you through the gallery . Wow, that's amazing. I've occasionally covered cards with fabric, I can only imagine that lace is harder again - more power to you for taking on that task multiple times. The old-fashioned script on your sticker is absolutely perfect to go with it.

I can't imagine all that work to make those wedding invitations last year! It must have taken you a long time to accomplish! A guy who works with my husband got married last year. He was talking about how much invitations cost, then learned that I make cards. I told Mike that making wedding invitations was another story! Hey, it's one thing to make a birthday card, but geez! I didn't want to go there...... My hats off to you, Bridget, for attempting that task! And I can tell from this beauty how well they turned out! I love the monochromatic theme here, and with the lace, satin ribbon, beautiful brad and ef on the heart, it's simply lovely and feminine! Great work!
