My QFTD83 card honoring the amazingly creative "hollerinastamps" :-) Holly has a fabulous gallery filled with all kinds of styles and techniques. Not easy choosing only one card to CASE.
I had so much fun refining my Rosette technique using the new SU Simple Scoring Tool. I cut my Cherry Cobbler CS 1" x 12" and scored every 1/4" and then accordian folded the CS. I attached with Crystal Effects which worked great. Then punched out a 1 3/8" Wild Wasabi circle and attached to the rosette again with Crystal Effects. I tried diff. adhesives and CE worked by far the best. the circle got covered up by the ornament layer.
I had stamped onto Shimmery White CS with Black Stazon several of the bird images and colored with SU watercolor pencils and blender pen. I punched
one image out with my Ornament punch and cut just the bird and a few leaves with my papersnips from another colored image and adhered with mini glue dots to the punched Ornament image. All very quick as the images were already colored.
I got the idea to dry EB the background using my Snow Burst EB folder onto "Glossy White CS" from the very talented "leslierich". It gave a shiny and very detailed finish to the snowflakes. Loved the results. Will be doing more of that....thanks Leslie for the idea.
I used my new Hand-Penned Holidays sentiment for the 1st time. Wow.....gorgeous font don't you think?
Thanks again Holly for your Inspiration and thanks Trish for another awesome Queen For the Day Challenge :-)
Hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it. Isn't stamping and sharing just sooooo much fun?!?

Great card! So many little details that make it all come together. The double ribbon is so subtle, but it ties the image colors in with the card. I agree, I think the sentiment font is elegant. I also like how you used layering and "out of the box" on the ornament. I bet the embossed BG is stunning IRL. I'm off to look at Holly's gallery. Thanks for sharing your card.
Wow, this is really beautiful, Nancy! I love the rosette behind the bird ornament and will have to try the glossy white for dry embossing! The sentiment is very elegant and you added the perfect touch with the rhinestones!

Beautiful card, of course I love the layout but I love how you used the ornament punch and did the chickadee on it. Very lovely, tfs,
