After reading the story of how she got her screen name, in honor of Lydia (aka Understandblue) I chose these blue colors for my HYCCT challenge card for the Brave Heart challenge to include a heart on our card today. I also used today's sketch challenge sketch with a couple of modifications! I pulled out some old favorite retired SU blues because I wanted to match this cool crochet thread I picked up at the thrift store the other day. I embossed the card base of Bordering Blue with my Vintage Wallpaper ef and stamped the heart in the same color. The right piece is Bayou Blue that I crimped several times and split then stamped with Canvas and sponged a bit. The strip is Night of Navy with the added thread and button.

Beautiful, beautiful card. I just love those retired blues. I've been hoarding my supply; I guess I just need to start using them. I love the way you've mixed textures on this card!
