This is for today's challenge to use GelaSkins gallery as an inspiration...they have many neat things there. This is the picture that started me with this birthday card idea...http://www.gelaskins.com/gallery/Alex_Pardee/Liberation
Started off with using a rainbow of color then swirls, but needed to keep it a bit subdued being it is for our brother.
He is not Japanese but loves and collects oriental things and has been to Japan, so I thought for something different I would combine this with a card for him. It is my first time printing out Japanese so fi any of you are out there and I did it wrong,I am sorry, I think it is at least very close...:0), as I copied it from you tube after studying a few different sites on it.
I sponged the bg with different colors, raised up the main layer and layered it up. sponged the picture with just black, did it twice to make it darker and am glad it didnt smear..whew..lol, I got the fleur de-les..from a very dear friend, you know who you are and thank you so much...:0) and used it for under the black. printed out the wording and then sponged the edge a bit to soften it up and added a touch of the fleur-de-les on the edges, didnt know how to finish it, wanted to keep it quite clean. hope it will work.oh and finished it off with black pearls on the corners...easel cards are fun....and thanks for visiting.
