Teresa(MamaPickle) gave us the challenge of using the "Chalkboard Technique" for our WT cards today. I have never done this technique before so the whole experience was an experiment. I dug out my Prismacolor pencils which I gave up when I discovered Copics. : )
This is part of the "Back-to-School" theme the WT Team is doing for the month of September.....supplies related to back-to-school.

Side note: Don't know why, but the horizontal strip photographed a much more coral tone than the mauve-y hue it is. So it goes!! : )

Wow Sallie, this is gorgeous! I love how you shaded the peony blossom. I guess that would be harder to do with pastels, but not impossible if you had a small dauber.

Your chalkboard flower is beautiful! I think you should bring those pencils out of retirement as an occasional alternative to Copics. I love using both. Thanks for letting us know that strip is mauve - cameras can be so contrary!
