Our Daily Bread Designs challenge for this week: Use piercing on your creation.
I am so tickled to have ODBD's Not Forgotten in my hands at last! This image is so moving to me and the scriptures that come in the set are perfect, and so encouraging. My brother and his son are in Afghanistan, and we pray for their protection every day. I think that is why I love this set, the words encourage me. The inside reads "The Lord is with me like a mighty warrior". Jeremiah 20:11
Using a nestibility book plate, I stamped the image on Craft, and the sentiment on DP that looked like writing and mounted on as pages. My paper piercing frames the green mat, and I added a cuttled star pattern in the background and wrapped it all up with a little metal charm that resembles a bible, adding barbed wire twill at the top.
Hope you join us this week. Please take a peek here: ODBD's Design Blog on Saturday, July 23, and use the keyword ODBDSLC69 so we can enjoy your creations too! Make certain you link your card to the blog. Thanks for looking!

Getting back here to finally leave a comment - thought about this card a lot and what it means to you to be able to send it to your nephew - to be able to send him your prayers and also to encourage him to be strong in his faith, and know God is with him always, as are your prayers.
What a beautiful reminder of that with this wonderful set!
LYMI! Very inspiring card!!

I couldn't believe it when this card was in my mailbox. My son will be so happy. He says, his biggest fear is that he will be forgotten. What a fitting saying. He will cherish this card as I do. Thank you so much. You are a wonderful friend.
