This is for today's sketch created by Korin. Personally, I couldn't have asked for an easier sketch, READ ON...
Did you catch my card title??? Let me explain; the reason it took me soooooooo long to make this card is I have a pinched nerve under my left collar bone. May I just say...OMGoodness very PAINFUL. Lifting a piece of paper today was painful and I'm sure the doc would have preferred I listen to him when he said, "take it easy" BUT, what about the Wednesday sketch!! LOL
Of course, me, who normally goes for the cas style just couldn't stop adding layers today...so, between the pinched nerve and the extra layers I managed to make this sketch difficult and time consuming, hence the title of my card!! YES, it really did take two hours to make this.
Details: SU's On The Grow, watercolored, paper pierced and layered and layered with Basic Black and Marina Mist. On the smaller panel I used a houndstooth dsp scrap mounted on black, punched holes on the left and wound my taffeta ribbon through and oh yes, let's not forget my little scrunched ribbon flower, from a few weeks back, with a vintage brad. Added the scalloped border for some additional texture. Added more layers~~
newsprint dp, another layer of basic black mounted on very vanilla. I ran those three layers through the big shot using SU's Square Lattice but you can't really see it in my photo. Phew...I'm exhausted!!
Hope you enjoy my card, TFL and have a great Wednesday!

So sorry about your pinched nerve. You really outdid yourself in spite of the pain. I love the ribbon treatment. Extra layers, piercing, punching ... Owww, my neck's beginning to hurt... I pray that your pain will go away soon.

What a lovely card, Robin. Not only is your Vespa image beautifully colored, but I like how you whip stitched the seam binding on the edge....very creative and effective.

Fabulous card! Love the details, especially the woven ribbon. This would have taken me 2 hours to make...without a pinched nerve. ;-) Hope you're better, soon.
Wonderful card! I love the marina with black and white! Your ribbon treatment and flower are great! Hope you're feeling better soon--I don't like it when something gets in the way of my stamping!

I am so totally digging how you laced the ribbon and wrapped around your hardware. Truly love this card! You go girl!
