Saturday I had the honor and pleasure of spending time brayering and stamping with the one and only Pam124 aka Pamzi. We had such a wonderful time together!!! Last month we both attended a Michelle Zindorf brayer class, so the first thing we wanted to do was try to re-create one of her beautiful scenes.
I brayered this landscape yesterday (without the Tree), and needed a card for my Uncle in NY so went looking for inspiration to complete the scene. So today when I checked out the QFTD challenges I found that one of my favorite stampers was QFTD51 - Quillster aka Jill!!!
Congratulations Jill - you are such an AMAZING stamper, with such an exquisite gallery!! I LOVE so many of your beautiful creations - but as soon as I saw this one I knew I had all the inspiration I needed to finish my card: {Thinking of You}
This card is a CASE of one of my cards - and I've always LOVED how yours came out. So now I'm Casing a Case of my own LOL!!
This card is also for this week's Sketch Challengs - link here: {SC323}
This scene was created yesterday. Today I stamped the Tree image, then very carefully BLEACHED the inner-most portions of the tree and trunk WHITE, so that they could be re-colored green and brown. This works great when using pencils - the bleached paper takes the pigment of the pencil with no trouble.
The leaf embellishments are a gift from Pamzi that she gave me yesterday (along with lots of other awesome goodies), and I was so excited to be able to use them so quickly!! Thanks again PAMZI - you're the BEST!!
There are to scored frames around the image that don't show very well in this photo.
Hope you enjoy your week Jill!!
Thanks everyone for stopping by!

Wow!! What a beautiful card...good job! Now down to business...if I'm not mistaken, those look a lot like some gold leaves I gave Pamzi at Christmas on a card. She was she was going to remove them and use them. Now, I believe she was true to her word, except she gave them to YOU. I think that is what was bleached and re-colored. An investigation is on. LOL I won't say more just now. Seriously, this is a beauty!!!! It needs a frame!!

This is superb! I love this technique of creating these beautiful scenes. Lucky you to get to play and visit with Pamzi! Your scoring and embellishments are the perfect touch for this alluring card. Well done.

Audzi, my twinzi, you have created the most beautiful card with the brayering. I had so much fun stamping with you on Saturday. Benzi is green with envy. You won't believe this; but, then again you will, but I was going to use that same tree on my brayered background. I know you don't believe me, but it's true. I also saw the awesome card Jill made, but I've cased a different one instead. Why are we still surprised by thinking on the same track? I don't know about the bleaching technique on zee tree. You'll have to show me that one next time we meet.
Your brayering came out beautifully and I LOVE the twine and charm treatment, not to mention the most fabulous leaves I've ever seen - LOL! You truly made an awesome card.
Bye identical twinzi born 11-moz. apart!

BEAUTIFUL CARD!! I love your brayering her and would love to take the Zindorff class also. I don't think she comes to south FL. Love the mountains in the background and that wonderful tree! Beautifully done.

I see you were paying attention in Zindorf's class too - or did you have to sit away from Pamzi so you could pay attention ;) Fabulously done!!!

Beautiful card! Your brayering is just wonderful. I'm taking her classes with a friend in April, and if this is how good you are afterwards, I am doubly excited! Fantastic work!

Audrey, how perfectly wonderful to be able to stamp with a fellow stamper! I bet you guys had great fun. It's such a great feeling to actually meet someone you've discovered on SCS. I'm happy for both of you. Your brayering is spectacular and what a card this makes for your uncle. Beautiful work.

Audzi, this is an AMAZING scene!! I think you've got the brayering thing down, as opposed to me--who has no clue. I just make it up as I go along and hope for the best. The scoring, twine, charm, and leaves are all super touches. What a special card!
