I'm so excited to be the Guest Designer for the CAS Winter Design Team this week! When I first saw what the challenge theme was, I was stumped. Then I looked through my binder of stamp set pix, and a bunch of ideas started hitting me!
(if you want a taste of other ideas I had, you just HAVE to pop over real quick to my blog!)
My inspiration:
- J. Geils Band "Freeze Frame"
- Alice in Chains "Rooster"
- Soundgarden "Fell on Black Days"
The layout was borrowed from the spring SU mini catalog, page 24.
I truly had a blast getting this together for you all. I love putting a lot of thought and meaning into a card, and this was no exception.
Finally got to ink up my rooster from Fiskars' Vintage Farmhouse, too. Have only had it for *two years* now! LOL
Thanks so much to the CAS Design Team for having me as a Guest. The pleasure was all mine!
Thanks for looking.

Colleen, I LOVE how you translated the Rock & Roll inspiration into this card!! Who could have guessed that all those great rock tunes could result in such a fabulous, vintage-y, French-country card?? I love how you used a black card base for this, and the colored rhinestones really stand out against it. Rock on!!
