Today is Remembrance Day in Canada and Veteran's Day in America - so the challenge is to thank a vet, or remember a vet.
I found this poem on the net:
On Veterans Day we honor all,
Who answered to a service call.
Soldiers young, and soldiers old,
Fought for freedom, brave and bold.
Some have lived, while others died,
And all of them deserve our pride.
WeÂ’re proud of all the soldiers who,
Kept thinking of red, white and blue.
They fought for us and all our rights,
They fought through many days and nights.
And though we may not know each name,
We thank ALL veterans just the same.

While I had one idea, the card took on a life of its own once I started and I must say, the card turned out better than I had hoped.
Thank you Vets - all of you - Canadian and American; man or woman - for your sacrifice for us! God bless!

Amazingly beautiful! I love the collage stamping and distressing you did over the poem. The gold star and the stars and stripes ribbon are so appropriate. Well done! This is a wonderful tribute to those who have served and are serving their country in the armed forces.

Vicky--I don't have the words to describel how much I love this card and how much it has touched my heart. My DH was in the Army for 28 years and saw a lot in that time. We have mourned the loss of his fallen commrades in arms, and celebrated the promotions of many many more! This card and poem is wonderful. Thank you from the botom of my heart for making such a gorgeous and meaningful card! Patty
