H! This card was made for today's Color Combo Challenge: Peach( but it's darker), Rust and Espresso...I used Deepest Mahogany. It also fits Speedy's Friends Challenge to make a Holiday Card.
Now, I know that NORMAL people don't think of these colors as being Christmas colors. However, I decided last week that I was going to try to do EVERY challenge for the ENTIRE week, and make a Christmas card for every one of them. (Yesterday's Clean and Simple Challenge threw that idea out the window, since it was to make a Sympathy Card!) Anyway, I say, Christmas is about the season, and who cares if the card is orange and rust. Heck, I LOVE CREATIVE color combos! heeheehee
Oh...and Markie's report card had all A's!!!!!!! He's the first of our three boys to get All A's in JUNIOR HIGH! (And, he's only 11 and in ADVANCED PLACEMENT Classes!!!! Can you tell I'm proud of that little boy???)
There is NO DESIGNER paper used on this card! It's all stamped! AND...The only colors used were Wowza Watercolor and Deepest Mahogany!
I stamped the woven image on one of the panels twice in Adirondack's Espresso. (It lines up REALLY well, so you can't even tell!) Next, I sponged in Adirondack's Ginger and Distress Ink. These made the semi RUST color. The other panel was stamped with the vine stamp from a SNEAK PEEK of Brick Wall in Adirondack's Espresso. I used Memento markers to color in the flowers and added Inkssentials pen dots to the centers. I sponged in Espresso around the vine. The focal image was stamped in Espresso. I used sponges to highlight areas around the tree to look like a "peach haze." I also sponged the tree a bit to give it a peach hue.
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 27 minutes!

Beautiful, beautiful, Faith. Good for Markie. How nice it is to see a post that has nothing to do with illness. All must be much better in your home. So, so glad.

Wow, I LOVE your designed paper that you created for the background. It is fabulous. Give Markie a big high five from me too. He's going to be like his mom, and inspite of adversities, he just blazes through with the best that is in him. Hugs to you all.
