Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
I've had to resort to pain meds today...I feel kinda woozie, but I'm pretty sure I followed the sketch. (I had an accident in my office on Monday and was injured. It was very painful, but these meds are GREAT! LOL I also combined this with yesterday's color combo challenge.
*Update on my mother. She is out of ICU but still in the hospital. My grandmother and son (on emergency leave from the Army), spent 3 hours with her yesterday. She did NOT fall asleep and held a lucid conversation for the full 3 hours! I'm very happy about that developement, as that means she's feeling better. After their visit, my grandmother cried the entire way home. She also blames herself for my injury and I have to laugh because it had NOTHING to do with her! It was completely MY FAULT! LOL
I used this Sneak Peek Set: A Walk In The Woods for the images. The cut the focal panel to 3 1/4" x 2 3/4" and then tore a piece of scrap paper that was 4" long to use as a mask. I placed the mask across the bottom 1/3 of the panel and stamped the focal tree in Pitch Black. Next, I sponged in Pitch Black along the edge of the scrap to create snow drifts. I moved the scrap above the 1/2 point and stamped in the same tree twice, moving it down the scrap to make a shorter tree. I made several more snow banks and then placed the scrap down to form a mask for the sun. I placed a hole punched scrap on top of the other scrap so that part of the circle was masked off and used a yellow and orange Copic with my air brush to create the sun. Next, I used the circle from that mask to cover the sun and used the yellow, orange and a purple Copic to create the sunset.
I added in some white lace and sheer ribbon for some texture. The charm and brads were inked with VersaMark and embossed in silver!
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 36 minutes

Faith, you need to make huge wall paintings...that's what you need to do. You would make a fortune with beautiful scenes like this one. You know I love you work and this one is no exception.
WOW!!!
