The sun face is stamped on white and taped to the yellow layer after the tearing is done. I start the hole for tearing the two top layers with a pair of pointed mini scissors and keep tearing trying to keep them one quarter inch wide or less at the base. Then pull the second layer further away from the yellow. The bottom layer of yellow is torn paper placed under the parchment layer. All layers are tacky glued in place using a long straight pin. The hardest part was getting the swirls placed using a stamp positioner and orange marker. Using an aqua painter and WC crayons I streaked the sun rays with orange and added color to the face.
