I needed to make a card for a teenaged boy in our congregation. We will be his Confirmation sponsors for the next two years.
Since I didn't have a starting point, I headed to this week's inspiration site, Tadenberg to see what might catch my eye... Decided to use the colours in the inset photo as my inspiration. I've used Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. A few of the colours are a bit off in the photo - that decorative label punch looks almost black but it's the same colour as the branch! I've seen several Owls sitting on Branches scattered throughout the gallery lately - not sure who to credit for the layout but it made for a quick card!
First card using my Owl Punch ~ sure makes punch art easy! A little sponging here and there; a top note die-cut for the message on the inside...
Catch you later. Gotta go pack!
PT: 5 punches; 1 die-cut

What a hoot Diz. I love your cute owl, embossing and sponging. What a real winner. Now, go pack so you can abandon me. I must go to therapy over this abandonment issue. Guess with a name like The Fruitflakezi who lost her marblez, I will be in therapy for the rest of my life!! Hugz and safe trip!! TFS!

That little owl is adorable. I really like the colours on this card and the wood grain CB folder is perfect for this. I'm enjoying my visit to your gallery since it's been awhile.

So what's going on now? Another vacay? Good for you, girl. I wasnt around to even look at the IC yesterday, so uploading your inspiration was a great idea! OMGoodness, I love where your vision took you on this one. Geez, when you're not digging yourself into a hole or planning vacations, you sure know everything there is to know with this crafting making business. This card is fabulous, my friend.

What a great take on the inspiration piece. Love your sentiment and that cool embossed bg (and of course, that sweet owl).
