At last I have finished making a card!! I started this card for Father's day for my husband, and just finished it for him for our 27th anniversary a few days ago. Dh flys stunt kites for a hobby - which look absolutely nothing like these kites. But I did love this set, and bought it with DH in mind.
I just love the paper I used - the glittery off colour clouds!! DH was getting impatient for his card, and several times I had to seek his advice - what angle should I put the kites at, how to place the tails etc!!
The tails are made of a wired covered kraft coloured material which I coloured over with my black copic.
Thanks for looking! Hope I can get back to making my cards a little faster!!! Card measures 7 1/2 inches by 6 inches

What a nice fresh kite card!! I think it's sweet that you bought the set to make a card for your hubby. I think it's great when we can involve our husbands with our craft. :>)

This is so awesome, Deb!! I love the bright cheerful kites... they caught my eye right away!! And how fun to make this for your kite-flyin' dh! It seems like kites, clouds, and hot-air balloons are HOT right now!

I see you've given Brat the vapors, and the rest of the SCS world is in a tail spin too (not good when your kite goes into a tail spin, is it!?!) So, I guess if you DH's hobby is kites, he doesn't mind it iffen you up and tell him to "Go fly a kite". Mine on the other hand probably wouldn't appreciate it so much if I said that to him. Fun card girl! Glad to see your creativity has resurfaced.
