I colored the image with watercolor crayons, then used my white gel pen on the snowflakes. The image is stamped and painted with an aqua brush on white shimmery paper. I was really pleased with how well the watercolors worked on this paper! The picture doesn't show it, but I formed vertical stripes to add texture on the window frame by dry embossing. I just used a stylus and the grove on my papercutter; I ran the stylus over the backside of the paper in the paper cutter grove. This will raise a line on the front side of the paper giving a dry embossed effect. This embossing really made the window frame look like molding. To make the window appear frosty, I put hair gel in a small plastic sealed bag and taped it in place in front of the image and behind the window frame. I used a small square punch to cut out the corner blocks. I rolled just the edges of a small solid circle stamp on my going gray ink pad then added a white eyelet to the center of that. I was trying to create the look of the old Victorian corner blocks and molding. My scanner did not do justice to this card. This is a Nan original.
