Hi! This card was made for today's Ways to Use it Challenge: Gone Buggy.
I decided to add a dragonfly charm to this card for my "bug." Years ago, my "VERY FIRST -ALL MINE" dog was a cocker spaniel named, Ragu. Ragu was a GREAT dog. She was that "red" color, like I sponged onto this pup. I chose the dragonfly, because, frankly, she LOVED dragonflies! We had a pool and a pond in our yard. I let the pond "go native" with no chemicals, and filled it with koi and turtles. It was an AWESOME sight in the evenings when the dragonflies would touch down onto the lily pads. Ragu would go NUTS and bark like crazy at them! I remember one evening when a dragonfly landed on her NOSE! I swear, that dog just sat there trying to look at it! LOL
The dog was stamped and then cut out. I sponged with Spiced Marmalade and then cut off her hind quarters and put her in a sitting position. This was SUPER easy! Next, I sponged around the edges with Espresso.
Finished card size: 4 3/4" square
Total time to complete: About 30 minutes. I rushed around like made trying to finsih it this morning before we left for Markie's awards ceremony..(5 awards! Yeah!) But, I ended up finishing it when we got back home!

What a sweet dog and how clever to use cutting to make him sitting! The framing on this card is exquisite and the whole thing looks so rich - love the brads, charm, and cord!
