What a fun card........but aren't Lovely as a Tree cards always fun! I also got to combine 3 challenges, which is always a kick. I used TLC35 (faux linen), SCS44 and WTC32 (brayer). I used TP to smear ruby red and summer sun in stripes onto my glossy paper. Then I sanded with 100 (med) wt. sanding pad (foam on back) courtesy of my DH. It worked absolutely perfect! I then brayered with close to cocoa and smeared a little more summer sun to get the effect I wanted. I used all classic inks. I forgot too late to use my chalk inks. Worked just fine. The strip I sanded and then brayered with Chocolate Chip ink. I brayered the glossy white paper with Close to Cocoa and then stamped the tree with Chocolate Chip, sponged the edges and added Itty Bitty spots that look kind of like raindrops. I really enjoyed making this card for our DS and DIL for Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

Interesting how you added the color first...then sanded. I did it the other way around. Will have to give this one a try. Love how you detail the instructions. That is very thoughtful! TFS this beautiful card.

This card is so RICH--in color, depth, texture, layout. I've never worked with glossy stock. Don't know how. May have to try after seeing this. This card whispers "quiet serenity."
