It's that time again, the Midnight Madness Challenge! Priscilla went "way out there" with a puzzle sketch; however, my stamped puzzle pieces are still sitting on my desk waiting for inspiration. Things are too busy right now for me to "open up my mind" and put that darn beautifully stamped puzzle piece into a card creation. Sorry Priscilla!
Here's the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge if you would like to follow along:
I did, however, go a little extra overboard with the more CAS version of the sketch. I dolled this thing up every which way but loose to make up to Priscilla for not completing my puzzle card.
With the 4 square sketch, I thought it might look really good as a window card. I LOVE looking out windows and I love stamps with windows and when stampers create their own windows. That's kind of what I've done here. I tried the best I could.
I stamped the entire image and then punched out into 4 squares. I sponged the clouds, over a 1" circle mask so that I could fill in my sun. I sponged old olive on the very bottom for the greenery and creamy caramel for the dirt layer. I then picked up on Pat Smether's use of the watercolor minis that I've had for AGES and never used!! I had no idea you could make scenery so easily with this set. I stamped off a couple grass/stem items from that set and used the flower piece to randomly stamp coordinating flowers in the grassy areas. I even incorporated a butterfly from the set in the top right corner. It's a 2-step stamp, so I was able to stamp the outer part black and the inner parts in summer sun.
I added crystal effects to the basket and the blue part of the bird and sprinkled dazzling diamonds randomly in the grass/flower portion and in the flower basket.
I used the SU finial press ef for the patterned paper b/g, window and cornice box. I adhered some ribbon to the cornice box and added some pearls. I used my MS daisy border punch for the cornice box and the bottom of the window.
Added some flowers given to me in a RAK from twinshappy~thanks Stacy~ and some MS punched branches for the corner pieces instead of ribbon per the sketch.
Added my greeting "merci" at the top using an oval punch. And, I paper pierced and used the faux stitching technique around the first mat.
Priscilla, I hope I made up for not completing my puzzle card. If it makes you feel any better, I was "puzzled" all through making this version of the card. So, I was "puzzled" if I did and "puzzled" if I didn't. In fact, I always seem to be "puzzled!! LOL!!
Sorry for all the rambling, but this one took a lot out of me
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!
Punchkateer Tally: 4 Punchez, but some used more than once for a total of 14 time punching: 4 squares, 3 daisies (1 inside the card), 6 branches, 1 oval! I've lots tons of weight on this one, but I also lost my mind! LOL!

Pamzi....you have used the word "Puzzle" so many times in your post....that it counts toward the sketch!!!! Besides, we don't want to be responsible for losing your mind. LOL Love, Love, Love, your window scene. The Martha Stewart Daisy punch looks so cute framing the window with the added lace and pearls. The embossing and stitching is the perfect accent. Now is this real stitching on the fake sewing machine from Benzi or faux stitching!!! It looks real. This is simply delightful. Thank you so much for playing along with us this week at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. It is simply a delight to visit and see your fabulous creation. I am proud of your punching extravaganza!!!

Pat Smethers really is an inspiration when it comes to those watercolor minis---you created an awesome image with them and your card is just delightful. Love all those beautiful blue pearls and the lovely window scene you've created.

Hi Pam, that puzzle sketch had me stumped for some time and I just could not get motivated with it, then when I finally was tight to the deadline I was able to complete it...but it wasn't easy! I love your rendition of the CAS sketch. I always admire cards that make you feel that you are actually looking out through a window. Your sky is gorgeous, and they way you stamped the grass and flowers is awesome, and of course the bird, flower basket and butterfly are beautiful too. Love the addition of the fancy edging, flowers and lace trim. Beautiful as always! Thank you for playing along with us each week.
Hugs,
Charlotte
